3035 CS - 4000 CS - 5000

Perimeter insulation in areas with pressing water and accumulating seepage water (in the groundwater) with building authority approval. For perimeter insulation in the area of long-lasting backwater or pressing water, Styrodur® has been approved by the German Institute for Building Technology in Berlin, DIBt, for many years. According to this, the Styrodur panels may be laid in one or two layers on the outer walls of the basement that are in contact with the ground, and in one, two or three layers under statically non-load-bearing components (basement floor panels). Styrodur 3035 CS can be immersed in the groundwater up to a maximum of 3.50 m.

Styrodur 4000 CS and Styrodur 5000 CS can each protrude up to 7.00 m into the water. The building is waterproofed in accordance with the relevant standard - waterproofing against external water pressure and accumulating seepage water. According to the approval, Styrodur 3000 CS may be immersed in the groundwater up to a maximum of 3.50 m and laid in a single layer (60 mm - 160 mm).

For perimeter insulation in the long stay area of stagnation or pressed water (in underground aquifers), Styrodur 3035 CS and 3000 CS are allowed to dive up to a maximum of 3.50 m. Styrodur 4000 CS and Styrodur 5000 CS can be submerged in water up to 7.00 m each.
The perimeter insulation reduces heat loss in the lower part of the buildings and also allows a welcoming living climate within the basement space. Higher temperatures prevent condensation from depositing on the internal surfaces of walls and floors.
This avoids the typical musty mufa smell that is often noticed in the basement spaces.
